Current Focus and Name Change

Today we are beginning to update the site and its name to reflect the present focus of the site. This present focus is on upgrades that we have developed for the grand staff to make it more user friendly. This transition will take some time, and we hope that out readers will bear with us. Although the site will continue to be revised as we produce more materials, we will announce on this blog when we have completed the current revisions. The new name is Grand Staff Upgrade, and the url is The short version of the url is You will be able to reach the site with either of these urls. 

More Changes to the Site

We're beginning to make some changes to improve the site. You can continue using the site while we do this. We'll do another post when these changes have been completed.

This site is now pretty much up to date.  I now have about 300 pages of R and D for visually impaired and blind persons that I hope eventually to post when it is more fully developed.

The site is now ready for use. It replaces the key maps and diagrams and the SK units on the present site. We still haven't reflected all of these changes on the present site which will still be used for our grand staff materials and for reporting on our research and development efforts. The musical content of this site remains essentially unchanged from mid 2016 - though there have been a number of changes to site layout. Our R and D efforts have been very active but have not been reflected yet on this site. Lately we have been focusing on getting the key maps better organized and have added a number of improvements to them. 

The biggest change has been to spin off the key maps onto their own new site, with the URL's and for their short names. It is also registered as The key maps remain on the present site but, for the most part, have not been updated since mid 2016. Right now, we are concentrating our efforts on the key maps and the new site. will take you there.

Reorganization of Site

We are now reorganizing this site - and it will take a while to get everything back in good order. Pleas be patient. We are moving the key maps material (except for general descriptions) to a new site -  This  Music Innovators site will continue to have its other .com names:, etc.

Once again, it is time to make some changes to improve the organization and structure of the site. Content of the site remains essentially the same. Completion of this work will be announced on this blog. You can continue to use the site during this construction period.
